Research projects of some burials in Columbia Cemetery, Columbia, MO.

(1)In 2016 The Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War, (Ann Hawkins Gentry Tent #21) placed a monument in memory of the 42 USCT [U S Colored Troops, Civil War] buried in Columbia Cemetery.

(2) Columbian Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, identifying charter members (1902) as well as actual daughters of Revolutionary War patriots known to be buried in Boone Co, Missouri.

COLUMBIA CEMETERY:

"History Comes Alive" events. Actors portray prominent persons buried here. Some of the photos have been added during our research phase. Events held 2017, 2018, 2019 were produced by the "Friends of the Historic Columbia Cemetery", and Chris Campbell, Exec. Director of the Boone Co Historical Society.
