My interest in genealogy began when my grandmother, a Sutphin, gave me a collection of family reunion handouts and family history materials that she had saved over the years. At the time, I wasn't sure what to do with them, so they sat in a drawer until I discovered Ancestry.com around 2000. Once I started entering the information into a family tree, I was hooked. And I still am.

Today, my research focuses primarily on my Irish and Dutch ancestors, although I enjoy exploring all branches of my family tree and helping preserve family history for future generations.

My involvement with Find A Grave began while searching for my second great-grandfather. That search led me to a small cemetery across the street from St. Mary Magdalen's Church, tucked behind the convent. I discovered that the cemetery had not yet been documented on Find A Grave, so I set out to record it. Since then, I have created additional memorials for family members and others whose stories deserve to be preserved, though I primarily use Find A Grave as a research tool.

I am happy to transfer memorials to closer family members upon request. Thank you to all the volunteers who photograph cemeteries, create memorials, and share records that help connect families across generations.
