I am a 7th generation Texan ... my oldest Texas ancestor was Joseph D. Harrison and wife Rachel Lockhart Harrison who came to Texas in 1830 and were enumerated that year by Stephen F. Austin as part of his colony.
I have more than 25 years background in my family history as well as researching many of the historical events of the early Texas period.
Of the many memorials that I manage on FaG, all except for about 3 or 4 are my family by blood or by marriage in some form.
