As the little children ask, "where do I come from?" I think it is important for them to know. My mother always told me I was Irish and to be proud. Well, I found out I am a lot more than "Irish". It is fascinating to learn about your ancestors. I find it remarkable how much information is available from so long ago.

From men and women who founded a country and fought to preserve their freedom, were innocent, but, hanged as witches or killed by indians, their stories are amazing.

It is a lot of work to uncover all this information, however, once you start it is impossible to stop! I am amazed at all the cousins I have met and enjoy working with them. I appreciate all the people who have helped me and I try to pay back. I'm finding Find A Grave a valuable resource with a lot of generous people volunteering their time.
