If I maintain a memorial that I am unrelated to, I will transfer to a family member. Remember the guidelines, are just that, guidelines. If I am unrelated, I will transfer to someone who is related. I find it sad that some will not, because the relationship is not within the guidelines, yet the manager is unrelated. I would like for memorials to be maintained by family members.

Please do not leave contributor information in the biography section. We generally are not apart of the person's biography.

Please verify information before accepting edits. Please give the memorial in a cemetery a photo request if it is created from anything other than finding a grave.

A lot of the research I do, are families not related to me. I enjoy researching ancestry and connecting people to their families. It is disheartening, when memorial managers refuse to simply include the person's parents or childrens names because 'it is not their biography'. I feel that saying this person is the child of, is apart of their biography. It tells others whom they were born from, or whom their children were (obviously this is in cases of when the child has passed). Some death certificates leave the burial location blank, making that almost impossible to figure out their burial location. Records from the late 1800s do not state burial location a lot of the time either.
