I have been an avid genealogist since 1980. Most of the memorials I add (or transfers I manage) on the Find a Grave website are relatives of mine or my husband's. I have added a few memorials for friends when they request me to do so. I also add memorials for my classmates. And ... I'm interested in people who were involved in the history of Springfield, Missouri (and the area)--and have added memorials for some of them. This is a wonderful resource for genealogists and historians!
A little Find a Grave "etiquette" ... Please give grieving friends and relatives a week or so following a death to add a memorial for someone you do NOT have a personal connection to. It's just the right thing to do, and if you are a contributor who follows this unofficial Golden Rule of Find a Grave, then you will have no problem providing your email address (in case of questions or comments).
