Also, a member of The National Society of the Sons & Daughters of the Pilgrims as a proven descendent of Deacon Samuel Chapin (1598-1675,) one of the founders of Springfield, Massachusetts and the subject of a very famous statue (The Puritan) by Augustus St. Gaudens.
