Growing up in Utah and a member of a very religous family, I have always known about the names of my ancestors but not always the stories. Between Find a Grave and a few other sites, I have been able to collect stories and pictures of not only my family but my husband's as well. When I started the research for my husband's family, I started with his grandfather's name only and have since been able to find pictures and records showing where his family immigrated to America. I miss his grandfather and am grateful I had the chance to get to know him over 13 years of marriage to his grandson.

I've used Find a Grave as a tool for research for years but only signed up to help when my mother passed away 2 months ago. I know that I am lucky to have my mother's grave close to my home and am quite aware that there are many out there without the same luxury. I feel that it is best to share the information that I have found with others and I feel that Find a Grave is a great place to share since it combines so much information into one page for all to see.
