I was born in Memphis, TN in 1951. I grew up in Frayser. I was the youngest of seven. I graduated from Frayser High School in Frayser. I immediately went to work after graduating highschool. I got married on June 18, 1971. On October 10, 1973 my wife gave me my perfect son, Jason Maurice Cates. After 15 years of marriage my wife divorced me. January 26, 1979 I joined the Air Force. I spent 22 years in the Air Force. On December 7, 1991 I married my current wife. I went from having one son to having two sons and a daughter. Today I am blessed to have 11 grandchildren.
