Profile photo is my 2nd great grandmother, Charlotte Hartshorn , who was my maternal grandmothers, grandmother. My grandmother had this photo displayed for many years and it had been her mothers only photo of Charlotte. Charlotte died when my great grandmother was a little girl. My sister wanted my grandmothers antique singer sewing machine. When asked what I wanted, I said that I just wanted the photo of Charlotte. I thought she was beautiful and wanted to learn more about her. This photo began my genealogy journey and addiction. She was the first ancestor I researched. This is a scanned copy of the original. There is another internet version where the scratch on the photo was cleaned up with my paint shop pro. On the back of this original copy is handwritten, 1910, which would have made her about 24 years old. We have a hereditary nerve deafness in our family. I recently learned that Charlotte was deaf. I do not know if she was born deaf, but she was deaf when her son, Sonny was 2 yrs old.

I am willing to transfer any memorials in the Lunenburg Corner Cemetery, except for my direct line of the Hartshorn's. If you have a closer relationship than I do then I would consider it as long as they are not one of my great grandparents. I am not related to the majority of the people in that cemetery. I was just there one day and wanted to preserve their headstone dates as they were in a sad state. Sometimes a headstone date is the only record of death that remains. Since then the headstones have been repaired and cleaned up, which makes my heart very happy. Please be patient with me if I do not do a transfer right away. I try to check in here a couple of times a month.
