I love family history. Began collecting oral family history as a child, but didn't realize that was the purpose behind all my questions. I started properly recording family history in 1982, by purchasing official records and visiting county clerk's offices and courthouses, and spending countless hours at libraries, genealogical and historical society offices.

Since each of these Find a Grave entries turns up as a "source" on Ancestry dot com, it is extremely important that we do the best we can to memorialize people with accurate information. I believe we owe it to them, to each other, and to future generations.
