I have been researching my family genealogy for more than 35 years and continue to enjoy uncovering the stories of those who came before us. Family names of particular interest include Hurley, Lennon, Crowley, Houde, Cooley, and many others connected through the branches of my ever-growing family tree.

My research relies heavily on traditional genealogical sources, including census records, vital records, newspapers, military records, probate files, cemetery records, FamilySearch, Ancestry, and local historical resources. I enjoy piecing together timelines, resolving conflicting information, and discovering the details that help bring an ancestor's story to life.

Many of the memorial suggestions I provide through Find a Grave originate from my own genealogical research. Occasionally, I follow a lead believing an individual may be connected to my family, only to discover they belong to an entirely different branch. Rather than let that work go unused, I am happy to share what I have found in the hope that it may help preserve someone's story or assist another researcher.

As a personal preference, I favor telling a person's story rather than relying solely on obituary text. While obituaries are valuable sources of information, they often provide only a brief glimpse into a person's life. I also try to be mindful of the privacy of living individuals and generally omit or limit details concerning those who are still with us.
