I have been researching McBrooms, Millers, Fisher, Tennessee Hicks and Texas Hix (TN Hicks changed name to Hix when they moved to TX). I will expand the scope of names when I can.

I am a disabled retired government accountant that suffers from debilitating migraines. Too much time on a computer or tablet aggravates or brings on some doozies that can leave me out of commission for days at a time. So, my research is very slow.

I have traced my branch of the McBroom family back 500 years to the first McBrooms on record so far that originated in Kirkcudbrightshire, Scotland.
