I became a volunteer after I found this site while doing ancestry and genealogy research for my own family. I realized that it brought some kind of closure and closeness for me to those that i have lost and never met, from a family perspective. I thought if it had that kind of an effect on me, then I would love to share that with others.

When photographing a cemetery I do every stone. Some stones are pre-need and the person is still living.
