My parent's families have been researching and recording our life story for years, over one hundred in fact. I have found no book more interesting than the facts I find exploring our families lives. You just never know what you will find next. I am happy to help others where and when I have time.
I am researching my mother and father's family names which include:
Mother's side: Campbell, Durkin, Lynch, Lashley, Magan/McGann/Magann, McGhan, Moore, Scully, Robinette, Porter, and Rizer. These families were all from Allegany County Maryland and Bedford County Pennsylvania.
Mom's Campbells and Durkins were from County Leitrim, Ireland. Her Moores and Scullys were from Eaglehill, County Kildare, Ireland and her Magans were from somewhere in the Midlands of Ireland in County Offaly or Westmeath.
Father's Side: Germer, Garmer, Grenzer, Herold, Wiesner (Wifsner), Morris and Vicker's. The Germer (Garmer) family immigrated to Baltimore in 1845 from OberSickte, Duchy of Braunschweig. The Morris and Vicker's families are from Somerset and Dorchester Counties on Maryland's Eastern shore.
