I did a lot of genealogy work many years ago... then just up and quit for no particular reason. Then I discovered findagrave and – ta-da! – here I am getting back into my family's history. I'm amazed at how many relatives I found on this site, and the chance to add more information to the memorials for future generations is exciting. Now I have a few thousand photos to go through, scan and get posted so everyone will know what our ancestors looked like.

I enjoy peeping in the virtual cemeteries of other contributors, especially if they have unusual graves/tombstones they've found. When I go to cemeteries I always hope to find at least one great grave. It makes the visit more interesting.
