Born in Wausau, Wisconsin, 1947 and currently live in Palatine, Illinois.
Got started in genealogy in the mid 90s taking copies of data the was send the my parents by a couple cousins of what they found about the Erdmann family. One of my cousins sent me a Word document she had put together of our family going back to the early 1800s and beyond. Over several years of back-and-forth emails I was able to enter everything into Family Tree Maker. I didn't think that over the year this would grow into over 176,000 names. A public tree on Ancestry.
My paternal side: my father HM Erdmann 1921-1997 was the son of FH Erdmann 1884-1948 and MW Viergutz 1891-1927. The origin is from West Prussia.
My maternal side: my mother LM Rajek 1921-2003 was daughter of F Rajek 1883-1962 and A Henke 1886-1982. My great grandfather, C Rajek 1855-1885 died in a logging accident so not much is known of him.
