I am a retired administrative assistant/technician and a grandmother. I became interested in Find-A-Grave when I began researching my family genealogy in 2009. I have found, collected, and now maintain my great grandparent's, several 2nd, 3rd, & 4th great grandparent's, and additional family member's memorials. The memorials span our country to Chicago, Chester and Sparta, Illinois; to Frohna and Cape Girardeau, Missouri; to Chesterton, Indiana; to Elizabeth Township, Pennsylvania; and to Blackstock, South Carolina.
My family history expands across the sea to sailings of immigrant Lutherans in Germany and Prussia in 1836, 1839, 1881 and in 1889; Presbyterians in Ireland and Scotland in 1772, and Switzerland in 1850.
I appreciate so much the time volunteered by the Find-A-Grave members who are helping to preserve our family's heritages. I have met so many wonderful people who I now consider friends. Thank you, to all of you, for the many hours of volunteer work you are doing!
