My father was Herman W. Devine, son of Robert E. and Gladys May (Ward) Devine. My father was born in Kentucky but census records show that by the age of 5, they were living in the Los Angeles, CA area. Most of my family lived in Santa Barbara, CA but I now live in New York.
My mother is Joan (Patterson) Devine. On her side of the family, I am researching the Patterson, Miller, Talbert, and Sleeth families.
I am also assisting in research of the Adler and Neumann families who originate in Hungary; some still there and others now in the US (mostly New York). European genealogy is a real challenge.
