A native Michigander, I have been active in genealogy and local history since about 2010. I have a B.A. in history with a minor in museum studies from Michigan State University and a Master of Library & Information Science from Wayne State University. My background is in local research, writing, speaking, and exhibitions. I work as a public historian, educator, and archivist in Lansing, Michigan.

I also collect, write, and present on various topics relating to local history in the Mid-Michigan area. I am the founding president of the Holt-Delhi Historical Society (Delhi Township, Ingham County, Michigan), and I sit on the board of two other historical organizations in the area.
