I did so much genealogy research with my mother. I love finding answers in the roots and on the branches, particularly the maternal side, of my family tree. I have not done much personal research since my own mother passed away because I've been busily raising my kids, working full time and going to school.

Right now, I'm unemployed and have been for some time. I thought I'd like to do something volunteer-wise, but I can't do anything that costs me money. I'm within walking/bicycle distance of several cemeteries, most notably, the Oakwood Cemetery, which is now home to many notable people.

I just stumbled upon this site, so, as the weather improves, perhaps I'll be able to assist some of the folks that are looking for their ancestors.
