Being a Military Combat Veteran myself, I take special care of the Military Markers because I believe that they deserve our most sincere respect.
Each time I work on a Military Persons Marker, I say "Thank you for your service to our country", and i take special care to trim and edge the grass around the Marker and to carefully and gently clean the Marker before i photograph it. These are forever my "Brothers and Sisters in Military Service" and I owe them at least that. I think about every Marker I contribute to this site (whether Military or not) and take care of them as if they were my own family. In a sense, the Markers of Military Service Persons are my Patriotic Family.
Also as a sidenote, When sending photo requests, I have found that most cemetery offices I visit will not provide Section/block/plot location to non family members . I would advise that a person making the request, please contact the cemetery office by phone and obtain this information and then place it into the request. Often times i have tried to honor requests only to find that i could not locate them nor would the office help assist me unless i have this data first.
