Born and raised in Louisiana. Served in the US Army for 35 years and another four years with the US Coast Guard. Worked as an adjunct professor or staff for University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, Tarleton State University, Central Texas College, Texas A&M University and Columbia University.
Got off to a slow start with research on my family genealogy in 1974. I discovered my family knew little about our ancestors. With the advent of the Internet, my research began to take on real progress.
I'm always left with a feeling of guilt that I know so little about those that came before us. Those that lived, toiled, and died so that we might have a better life. Hopefully my research may help in some small way to repay my debt of gratitude.
