Since starting to trace my family thinking it would be a quick & easy option for a University paper, I've been an addicted genealogist for over 40yrs!
I love the exhilaration of finally finding people, especially after long, frustrating searches. I enjoy helping others find their families, too, and love exchanging information with others tracing the same families.
My husband and I travelled overseas quite a few times to research our famillies in their home areas before they emigrated to New Zealand. From my experience, most genealogical records in NZ are generally cheaper, more readily available and much easier to access than records in the USA, Australia and Britain.
