I am an avid genealogist. On my mother's side, I am descended of the Lilly/Meadows families of southern West Virginia, and the Osborne/Freeman/Blankenbeckler/St. John lines of southwestern Virginia. On my father's side, the Tredway/Burgess/Dooley/Poff families of southern West Virginia and the Gunter/Thornhill lines of Roanoke and Blacksburg, VA. My grandfather (a Gunter at birth) adopted the name "Crum" from his stepfather. I have a little history related to the Crum surname.
