Our lives have become enriched with the contacts we've made on FindaGrave, opening so many doors, even getting to meet some folks in person from other states. Through others, I've been able to find my Grandfather (unmarked for 45 yrs.) & provide him with a nice headstone with photo, and find my Dad in a National Cemetery after 6 yrs. (He was left unknown & unclaimed 4.5 mos. when false burial info was given to me). We have family DNA now to help discover and validate our heritage. May all our loved ones rest in peace and have greener pastures. Bobby & I were French Lick HS graduates, have lived in SW FL 40 years, have 7 grandchildren and 2 greats, and moved to Franklin, NC three years ago, but have recently moved back to SWFL due to health. I have tried to unite distant relatives a little closer before we all end up as a memorial page. We pay it forward with our own photos and memories to our Springs Valley and Orange-Dubois-Martin County areas, as well as the Vincennes Military Museum, hopefully leaving a cherished legacy.
