Note to genealogists following Sealy or Taylor relatives of mine: My father's family background is very confusing and not atypical of families of Native American descent. His large family of origin and kin raised him after his biological mother died in childbirth. He loved them all. His name was definitely spelled Sealy, not Seeley for at least one generation before him.
