I'm a 61-year-old family historian continuing the work of my late mother, Betty Shirley, who was a dedicated genealogist for 32 years. She authored two family history books—Silas Shirley and his Descendants Paris, Arkansas (1977) for my father's side, and The Bartholomew Family (1978) for her own lineage. Betty passed away in July 2009, but her passion for genealogy lives on through my efforts.
