My paternal DILL roots are traced to Fannad (County Donegal) Ireland, whose families had sailed to America around 1700. This particular DILL family arrived in Delaware, Kenton County (Murderkill region) and eventually migrated southward down to Caswell County, North Carolina to the Tyger River Valley near Greenville, South Carolina - tracking westward across Southern Appalachia up to the Cumberland plateau to White, Smith, and Jackson counties in middle Tennessee - eventually moving westward to Union County, Kentucky - traveling up the Ohio River to Henderson County - crossing north to Vanderburgh County (Evansville, Indiana) where I was born and raised. Knoxville, Tennessee is now my home.

My father's maternal roots stem directly from the French Huguenot progenitor Bartholomew DUPUY whose descendants arrived in King William Parish, Virginia around 1700 - moving west to Woodford County, KY - to Shelby County, KY - through James Dupuy Jr., whose prominent family had lived for many years. James Dupuy Jr. became instrumental in the mapping of newly formed Hancock County, Kentucky and established the small community of Utility, Kentucky - connecting through the ADKINS family in Hancock County - ultimately connecting to the GOODLEY line (via brothers James and John Goodley) from Wimblington, England whose families came to America by 1850 - migrating west to Missouri and southern Indiana. The youngest offspring - being my great-grandfather George Brammer Goodley (b.1877) and his wife Ora Bee Adkins (b. 1876) - eventually settled near Henderson, Kentucky in the Zion community where they raised a large family of nine children.

My mother's roots are traced back to the proliferating and interwoven COBB and TIMMONS families from Webster and Hopkins County, KY, and the SIMPSON family from middle Tennessee/Wilson County, TN.
