Have worked on my genealogy since I was 20. Part of Oakwood Cemetery in Grand Ledge was my Halbert family's farm years ago before 1900. Where Orchard Street is now used to be the family's orchard. In the 1930s, some of my Halbert relatives used to grow and sell gladiolas in Grand Ledge. Many of my Halbert relatives are located in Oakwood Cemetery
In my research, I combine genealogy with Find A Grave. There have been times I've run into brick walls in my research, and then Find A Grave provided the missing information I've sought. So, I return the favor when I can by supplying missing dates/places/bio information on Find A Grave. However, my focus is on genealogy research rather than Find A Grave, and finding answers not just for myself but others.
