I grew up on the west side of Cleveland, Ohio. I remember going to the cemeteries as a kid with my parents to visit the graves of my grandparents. My mom and dad always cleaned and trimmed around the stones and put flowers on the graves for the holidays. I didn't think much about it then, but since I've been doing genealogy I realize how important it is to have a record of family graves. I now find myself going into all sorts of cemeteries (the older the better) to visit and photograph graves--no relation needed. By doing this, I hope I can help someone find their family.
