For many years I've been an avid genealogist. Having sites like this and ancestry.com has enabled me to dig up information on almost every side of my family tree, learning things I'd never have known as well as meeting distant family members who would otherwise have remained unknown. It's an adventure I enjoy for myself as well as sharing what I know with others who are also searching for their roots.
