My maiden name is Clara Elizabeth Johansmann, daughter of Edward Johansmann and Berniece Minnie Bowen. Berniece's father was Ralph Edward Bowen, who married Elizabeth Frances Jenkins (buried in Collier cemetery) and Ralph's parents were Willliam Bowen and Caldonia Wright. Ralph's brother was Uriah "Rye" Bowen who was killed by lightning when 19 years old. William Bowen was killed in a mining accident when Ralph was 5 & Uriah was 3, and then Callie married Henry P. Shoemaker. Callie & Henry lost daughter, Frona Shoemaker, who caught on fire putting wood in the stove while babysitting her brothers, Logan & Noel. Tom & Laura were children of Henry & his first wife. Each had two children when they married. I am a descendant of Isaiah Bowen Jr. and his FIRST wife. I am most likely related to most people buried in the Bowen Cemetery.
