Update spring 2020: I'm hearing from a lot of cousins lately!! Awesome! To find out how we're related, check my (huge) family tree under username "volks1wag" over on Ancestry. I'm sure I have some bad info in there, but for my direct lines I try my best to correct it or put in explanations if it's something tentative. I'm always open to record correction there or here - so send me what you have!!

About me: I'm a true American mutt, with a goodly portion English and Scottish ancestry, but I'm also of French, German and NC/VA "Black Indian" extraction (Powhatan confederacy.) Much of my family arrived in Kentucky and Tennessee - from VA, NC, PA and MD - after receiving land grants for service in the Revolutionary War. I'm a member of the DAR and the Jamestowne Society.
