My husband is a journalist and I'm a stay-at-home old-house fixer-upper. We are in a constant state of restoring our old house back to it's former glory. We love to flyfish and geocache in our spare time. We love to go out birding. We live in the area of the Atlantic Flyway for migratory birds. I am also in the process of documenting our ancestry. These hobbies brings us to many cemeteries in the area. Especially the geocaching as many geocaches are placed in or near cemeteries. We have come across some lost cemeteries that I've wondered if anyone has documented them yet. I will try to do what I can when we come across them. I have had dead ends on my ancestry research and then someone will add one of my ancestors to Find A Grave and it opens up the research again. Sometimes it just takes a date on the headstone or "wife of" or "son of" to make new connections on the family tree. I'm very thankful to all the other volunteers that are putting in their own time to help others.

Note: I'd be happy to transfer any memorial I added and manage that aren't in my own ancestry.

Note about photos: Any photos I have taken of headstones may be copied and used. However do not copy personal photos of the McCuaig or Patterson family as the photos belong to others in my family and were to be used just for our family's memorials. Thanks!
