I have been working on genealogy for about 20 years now. I have over 17600 family members in my database. The families are primarily from Dodge, Green, Jefferson, Lafayette & Rock counties in Wisconsin and Stephenson, Jo Daviess, Ogle & Winnebago counties in Illinois. Most had their origins in Prussia (Pommern), Germany, England, Ireland, Northern Ireland and Scotland.

Names on some memorials may be confusing because I generally use the given names as they appear in church records and they may differ somewhat from the names as they appear on headstones. I do make an effort to put photograph on as many memorials as I can and show their common names and link family members.

My last dog was Xena, a little 12 pound terrorist. (Miniature Pinscher) She loved to ride around the countryside when I visited cemeteries but didn't seem to understand why she couldn't walk them with me. I made time to walk the rural roadsides with her though. She was a city dog though and didn't quite seem to know what to make of the cows and pigs. Sadly Xena was suffering from all the ailments of advanced age and got to the point where she had to be put down. She is missed!

I finally caved in and adopted another dog. He is Ziggy, a 22 pound black and white Pomsky. He is a bundle of energy and loves playtime with other dogs. He is the friendliest dog you might ever know. He NEVER barks but like all Husky type dogs is very talkative.
