I have been researching my family's history for years. My family has many old photos which I have posted so that others can enjoy them. I try to personalize the memorials as much as possible by adding bios, details discovered through ancestry research, and the personal remembrances of people who knew them.

My parents were Shirley Ann Tulberg (Find a Grave Memorial 183669143) and Paul Dietrich Boetius (Find a Grave Memorial 13217081). My parents were born on the same day - March 3, 1933 (3-3-33).

My mother's father Einer was born in Norway, to Oline Engebretsen Olson and Ole Johnson Houm. They weren't married, and Oline emigrated to the U.S. when Einer was three months old and later married Lars Olof Tullberg. Einer later shortened his name to Tulberg. My mother's mother Amelia was born in a German settlement in Ukraine; her parents Julia Stolz and Fred Klein were among the population of emigrees known as Germans from Russia.

My father's father Johannes Christian Boetius was born in Denmark, to Carl Alphonse Hilarius Boetius and Karen Margrethe Blad. My father's mother was Olive Kullgren, who was my only grandparent born in the U.S. Her parents were Mary Dempster Morrison (Scotland) and Andrew Kullgren (Sweden).

My father's mother Olive left many fascinating photos of her youth in Colorado and later in Southern California, where she became private secretary to Edward L. Doheny Sr. in 1925, after the departure of his previous secretary Miriam Lerner. I've spent many hours pouring over her photos, trying to identify family and other people in them, and created memorials for the people I was able to identify, such as for her lifelong friend, Eunice Winifred Morgan, and two friends from Denver who served in World War I (Charles Matthew Klaiber and Wesley Louis Murray). Her photos touched and inspired me.

On my mother's side, I've worked on cemeteries in Shawano County, Wisconsin, where her father Einer grew up, and have been able to provide full birth/death dates and locations, add obituaries and biographical details, and link families by researching the individuals on ancestry and other sites.

Many of my memorials are of my relatives and people I have known, but I have also added many that aren't so if you are related or have a strong interest in that person, please let me know.
