I enjoy genealogy and I have been working on my genealogy (in my free time) for years. I have been asked "why do you do this?" Some people just don't understand the joy of finding an ancestor or seeing a picture of your great grandparents.
I like to exchange information and even help others when I can. Most of my close ancestors are in the West View Cemetery in Atoka, Oklahoma. But I can reserarch cemeteries in McAlester, OK.
I have taken children to cemeteries and explained to them the information you can get from a head stone. Not only the dates for birth and death, but sometimes a marriage. Depending on some you can find an organization or military information. I once found the description of a family member by starting out with the head stone.
One thing I have found working with Find a Grave is that it is easier to match your family member when there is more information. I am trying to add more information to the persons I add. I am also trying to go back and connect families together.

Update: I am now retired and can work more on helping you.
Since I have retired, I have been walking in the Kiowa City Cemetery, Oak Hill Cemetery and some others in Pittsburg and Atoka Counties. I love walking the cemeteries, taking pictures, getting some sun, and helping others when I can. To me a cemetery is so peaceful; I find my reward at the end of each visit.
Please contact me if I have errors in the information about your loved ones. I do want it to be correct. Someone may be "checking" my work or more important someone may be looking for the person I got wrong. It is easier to find if the information is correct.
If you have a relative that I manage their memorial, please feel free to request a transfer, as long as it isn't one of my direct ancestors I don't mind sending them over to family. My goal is to provide a link to the past so that future generations may know their ancestors. To the regard of any photograph that is posted on my memorials, please feel free to use them freely for non-commercial endeavors, I don't mind sharing my photos with family members on their memorials or on any genealogical website. The purpose of the photos are to keep the memory of our loved ones alive.
