Although I started gathering genealogy data in junior high school, interviewed many older family members in the early 1980's, started using Legacy software a decade ago, I was only able to seriously begin to organize it all after the last of our seven children graduated from high school in 2011. I discovered Find a Grave in early 2012 and found it a tremendous resource but I was too busy organizing the mountain of data I had to post anything myself even though I had accumulated maybe a few hundred photos of family grave stones.
At the beginning of 2013 I was finally able to begin sharing my data more broadly and become a contributor. Almost immediately I discovered how much fun it was so it will be a long term goal to be sure there is a memorial for most of the extended family of my kids.
I'm hoping that having my name on a memorial will lead to contacts from others who have some connection to them so please send me a note.
Although most everyone I maintain will be family members that I'd like to keep not all are and I'd love to transfer them to someone who knew them so just ask using the Edit - Suggest a Correction link.
My virtual cemeteries are set up to include the memorials by line for my kids four grandparents.
