Update: 2025

I live in Bradley County, TN. I've been doing genealogy over 35 years focusing on my Carroll/Carrell line, Lawson line, Lee, Humbard, Taylor, Baker, Van Horn, Haynes, Wade and more.

DNA is a wonderful tool to use for process of elimination of many family lines.

I descend from James A Carroll/Carrell. He was born between 1826-1828 in western North Carolina according to census and migration sources.

He married Elizabeth Jane Lawson, daughter of Richard Lawson and Mary Campbell (their parents have not yet been confirmed). We are from the Falling River Lawson Line per DNA, but it's been difficult to say the least to connect Richard to a potential father and same for Mary Campbell. We need more proof.

These families all settled in Bradley County, TN. with some of their children going to Texas and Missouri.

Mary Campbell Lawson is buried in Missouri and last known household was with her daughter Matilda. Please email me if you have DAR, SAR, Bible entry, Deeds, Land Grants etc. if you descend from any of these families. I have exhausted most records except for those still unseen. Thank you
