My ROSE ancestors have been here since 1653, When William Rose, a headright to John Knott came from England (Darbyshire ?), to Surry County Virginia. His date of birth year was 1622. My GG Grandfather William ROSE arrived in Mississippi in 1836 to settle near Hays Creek near Winona, Mississippi. My grandmother KING introduced the Indian blood in the 1890's when she married my Grandfather, she was 1/8th Choctaw. Great grand daughter of Moshulatubbee King, last elected Choctaw Chief of the Nation East of the Mississippi River. My maternal grandparents were PULLEN and CARSON of South Carolina and settled near Minerva, Mississippi in the early 1840's. (a headright is a white slave, thousands were sent from England and Ireland in the 15th and 16th century to the Americas for labor.
