I have always held a love for cemeteries. When I'm on a trip to a different state I always try to find a local cemetery to walk around in and get an idea of where the city came from and the people who lived there.
In February of 2012 I lost my 4-month-old son James to bacterial meningitis. In a Google search to make sure the news media hadn't release his name or pictures to the public I found his listing here on Find A Grave. I created a profile to comment and add pictures to my Mr. Grunty's memorial and saw that I could become a contributor and a photo volunteer. Now I'm hooked!! I live in a rural area of Oklahoma which gives me the ability to go to small out of the way cemeteries and fulfill photo requests. I feel by doing this I am honoring my James and I know he's with me while I help the families and the nation by adding to this database.
