I am a retired teacher. My interest in ancestral research expanded and deepened after I had placed a site commemorating my parents through excerpts of their writings on the internet at www.early20thcenturymichiganmemories.net I am now trying to memorialize all of their predecessors in a tree on ancestry.com and am attempting to document all the statistics and events with primary sources or their best equivalents. As the tree may extend back to the Plantagenets and through them the beginning of the Dark Ages, a task like this is really a lifetime project. But I am still hoping to launch a solid start for future researchers.
