I have long been our family historian. I grew up in my grandparents home and absorbed family history there. My mother died when I was five years old, so I knew very little about her family. After I married, my mother-in-law gave me all her family history that she had collected. I have written down as much as I could of the family tree of my family and my husbands.
October 2010 my middle child, a son, took his own life, unexpectedly. I have stayed sane by concentrating on ancestry.com and now Find A Grave. In addition to occupying me it has added a sense of continuity. At times it feels as, surely. we are all related someway.
I am interested in finding information on cause of death, occupations, and burial sites.
