I was born in Montgomery but my mother, sister and I moved to Talladega when my dad joined the army and went overseas .

We moved into the Stringer house with my grandmother and aunt and uncle and his family lived upstairs, I went to grammar school there: grades one through five. Spent many good times at the Ritz theater.

We lived in other towns in Alabama.

After I graduated from Childersburg High and finished Nursing at St Vincents in Birmingham and married and lived in several southern states and we had four children.

I now live with my husband in Guntersville, AL.

I enjoy researching my family tree which I have been doing since about 1989.

My husband died January 23, 2022. His ashes are in the BENNETT family plot in Oak Hill Cemetery in Talladega, Alabama.
