Born and raised in Greensboro, NC. I am married and have two daughters and five grandchildren. Most of my life I have lived in NC but have also lived in Texas (as a child), Missouri as an adult for a short while. My father, Blake Choate was born in Dobbin, Texas in Montgomery Co. and grew up around Conroe, and Houston. He joined the army and was in WWII. My mother, Josie Aileen Toomes was born and raised in NC. She had a best friend who was married to a soldier who was a friend of my father. These two introduced them and they were married in Oklahoma where my father was stationed at the time.
I have three sisters and we enjoyed a good childhood. I always listened to the family stories and saved them in my mind. I love to search but have had some hard brick walls to get through. Mostly British in my DNA but Scottish with some Irish and Native American which has not shown up in my DNA but I know Cherokee is there.
