I began my family genealogy in 1992 when an elderly aunt asked us to take her to a Friggle family reunion. At that reunion was a gentleman from California who was adding to the Friggle genealogy. We bought a booklet of what he had amassed over the years. Then, the communications ceased and he disappeared. I felt that this valuable data should not be lost and so I purchased Family Tree Maker and entered all that he had. Since then. I have been able to trace my Mother's Friggle line back to 1696 in England.

I am a former United States Air Force A/1C with 4 and 1/2 years of service from 1956 to 1960.

A word about my photography.
I always take a shot of the marker and then another shot of the name(s) and use my computer software to edit the pictures as good as I can get them before posting them on Findagrave. I don't understand why some people who take photos of a headstone that has more than one name on it cannot take another photo of just the one persons name. Sime data under their name is being missed.

My photography has evolved the more I take shots of cemetery stones. I feel that a person who comes to Findagrave wants to see the stone itself as clear as possible and not a general view of grass around the stone. Therefore my shots are close to the marker.

Please, if you are taking pictures on sunny days, do not put your shadow over the stone. Take the picture from the other side of the stone and then you can rotate it in your computer. It works great! I've done it many times.

My wife and I have photographed several cemeteries in Union County plus numerous individual family headstones.

In 2021, my wife and I will be 85 years old, so we will not be doing much anymore. I hope what we have done will help others.

My wife and companion of 41 years died May 04 2022. Her FAG # 98023943.

In 2022, I began requesting headstone photos in Greendale Cemetery, Meadville, Pa because there were over 7k missing. Two people have taken up the challenge with me and are providing wonderful pictures that will be helpful to relatives and genealogists for years to come.
