I started seriously doing genealogy about 2011. I try to make sure children are connected to parents on Findagrave if I can. Then this year I started following a guy in Michigan on Facebook that cleans tombstones. He uses the same product that they use at Arlington. It doesn't harm the stones. I've been working on tombstones in the local historic cemetery. I mainly use water and a soft brush. Nothing with metal. I come back home and look up their info on Ancestry and then make sure the best readable stone is also pictured on Findagrave. Plus I try to make sure again that they are connected to parents and children. There is a quote that has stayed with me. "When we die, we die twice. Once when we breathe our last. The second time when someone says our name for the last time." I make sure to say their name.
