I am somewhat of an amateur genealogist but have been interested in my family's history since I was a young girl pouring over hoards of my grandparents' photos! I've always loved history too and found out through my family research that I am connected to some famous ancestors which explain why I am obsessed with certain periods in history!

Seeing faces, finding names and bringing stories to life is what I enjoy most - these people were here, they lived through the best and worst of times whilst paving the way for us, their descendants.

I live in New Plymouth with my partner, son and two cats. I work full-time but spend my free time working on my family tree (when I can). I don't drive so can't wander too far in one day but I do live close in close proximity to the Te Henui and Awanui Cemeteries. I am happy to explore and help other members find the resting places of their loved ones and ancestors.
