I am a retired research chemist living in Whitman, MA. The families I am searching are Rich, Hayner, Cowan and Beach. My wife Karen's family surnames are Loyd, Cranford, Blanton, Roberts and Ruetschi.
My Y-chromosome DNA indicates that I am descended from Michael DeRich who died in Salem, MA in 1692. My Rich ancestors moved to Western MA, NY and ultimately to Michigan. The Beach family lived in CT, VT, and PA before settling in Michigan. The Cowans and Hayners lived in NY before moving to Michigan.
Karen's Roberts ancestors lived in Western NY and the Ruetschi family immigrated from Switzerland to the Rochester, NY area. The Blanton, Cranford and Loyd (Lloyd) families lived in KY, TN, LA, Arkansas and Texas.
